Drinks Night - 20th November
Cairns Drinks Night - After reasonable feedback from memeber posts and emails the date and venue is .....
Saturday 20 November 2010.
Bull Bar (in the back bar)
94 Lake St......beside the City Place stage
7.30pm onwards.
Discount drinks for our members.....see Beachboy to get VIP wristbands on the night........colour tba later.
Meals available. Pool table and live music. Smokers catered for too.
Come along and meet and socialise with like-minded people. Put a face to other AFFers, many of whom post here in these threads. Newies and first timers always welcome.... plus cool and discrete friends.

OK it has been booked....the back bar. They will open it especially for us. There will not a live band that night, so some will like that a bit more for chatting. The pool table etc is still happening.
The colour of the wristbands will be PURPLE....so look for me and others with purple discount drinks wristbands.
I have already had some rsvps privately, with ppl coming from Port for the night, and some cpls met at recent parties, so expect a fun night.
Could I plz ask ppl to confirm a few days before the night....just a curesty for the venue for staffing reasons. I told them at least 30, so I am sure we can get that.
Newies always welcome. Nervous?....Don't be......bring a cool friend to hold your hand....lol
Remember meals are also available.

Well that was a very pleasant gathering. Thanks to all the newies who braved coming along for the first time....lol Wasn't so scarey afterall. Thanks also to the people who travelled down from Port and other areas. We had approx 40 ppl there. Great to catch up with a bunch of people we havn't seen for ages too.
Was good to put faces to names and......body parts...lol
Hope you enjoyed, and look forward to seeing you all again next year. Watch for the next drinks nite thread.
